The National Football League (NFL) and the International Federation of American Football (IFAF) announced the fourth team of World Football Flag Ambassadors to amplify and support the long-term growth of the game worldwide.
DeMario Davis, Stefon Diggs, Taylor Rapp and Lamar Jackson are among the newest of all time Join the all-star team of men and women, including current football players, legends, coaches and officials as ambassadors who will work together to increase the definition and promote the unique values of one of the fastest growing sports in the world.
The Flag Football Ambassadors Team – First announced before NFL Launch earlier this year: Supports the joint global effort of the NFL and FIFA to raise awareness, interest and participation in world football and advance the development of the game.
The National Football League announced the transformation of the Pro Bowl and changed the name of the supporting event to “The Pro Bowl Games“. The week-long celebration of player skills will take place in Las Vegas in 2023 and will see an exciting new format highlighting football. In addition to Sunday’s AFC vs NFC game, it will incorporate Pro Bowl Flag games throughout the week, including the inaugural Play Football and NFL FLAG championships, created in partnership with RCX Sports and top boys and girls. Youth flag teams from all over the country and the world.
Currently played by men, women, boys and girls of all ages in more than 100 countries around the world, flag football is poised for further expansion as the cornerstone of national and international participation in NFL development strategies. The momentum behind the sport is growing after its debut at the World Games in Birmingham, Alabama, earlier this year, as FIFA prepares to launch the biggest edition of the elite international flag competition, which includes full continental representation for the first time in 2023. The global appeal of the selected athletes highlights the group’s reach and ambition to grow the game around the world but also indicates the impact of international players on the NFL itself. Taylor Rapp was born in the United States to her mother, who is from Shanghai, China, and a Canadian-born father. Liz Sowers is currently the Technical Director of the Women’s Soccer Program at the University of Ottawa in Canada.
