Week 8 of the NFL is over and the start of Week 8 is coming with big games scheduled that can contribute to earning several points in NFL Fantasy 2022.
After some outstanding performances of players such as Jalen Hurts (Eagles) or Tua Tagovailoa (Dolphins) in the quarterback’s category, Tony Pollard (Cowboys) and Jaylen Waddle (Dolphins) also stood out in running backs and receivers, respectively.
NFL Fantasy: Injured Week 9
The bad news for some teams is that there are players who will not have activity in what will be Week 9, this is so that you take it into account and you can place them on the bench or send it to reserve to be IR (Injured Reserve).
Breece Hall, RB | New York Jets (knee): The rookie running back suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus problems, so he will no longer play in the season. He had 391 yards and 3 rushing scores, as well as 218 yards through the air.
Ryan Tannehill, QB | Tennessee Titans (ankle): Ruled out against Houston Texans. Tannehill was dealing with an ankle injury. Unless Tannehill’s ankle injury is more severe than expected, it should return as Tennessee’s starting sign in Week 9.
Jonathan Taylor, RB | Indianapolis Colts (ankle): After missing a few weeks, the running back suffered from the ankle again in Week 8, it is expected that he can play, but he is in “day to day” to know his conditions.
Mark Ingram, RB | New Orleans Saints (knee): Withdrew from the game last weekend and on Monday it was reported that he has a knee sprain and will be out for three to four weeks.
Christian Watson, WR | Green Bay Packers (concussion): Suffered early in Sunday’s game against Buffalo. The average in previous years had been for a player to return between six and 10 days that will make him almost miss Week 9.
DeVante Parker, WR | New England Patriots (knee): According to Monday morning’s report, Parker “suffered only one knee sprain” and may be out for only a week for his recovery.
Irv Smith Jr., TE | Minnesota Viking (ankle): Suffered a sprained ankle in the team’s win over the Cardinals. No timeline is known at this time, but you might miss some games.
DK Metcalf, WR | Seattle Seahawks (knee): Suffered a patellar tendon injury but does not require surgery for now, head coach Pete Carroll said, although his return is uncertain to take into account in your NFL Fantasy immediately.
Mike Williams, WR | Los Angeles Chargers (ankle): The star Chargers receiver will have to be out for multiple weeks with a right ankle injury in the game against the Seahawks, the player has a high sprain, the most severe of all.
Deebo Samuel, WR | San Francisco 49ers (thigh): The receiver is “day by day” with hamstring discomfort after the game against the Chiefs last Sunday, he is expected to practice normally on Friday or Saturday to be eligible.
J.K. Dobbins, RB | Baltimore Ravens (knee): The runner has been returning from a ligament injury and has been little used, however he suffered new discomfort that puts in doubt that he can give enough points yet.
Marquise Brown, WR | Arizona Cardinals (foot): Suffered a fracture in her left foot after jumping to seek a reception, does not require surgery and will be out for six weeks.
Randall Cobb, WR | Green Bay Packers (ankle): He suffers from a sprained ankle and that will open opportunities for Allen Lazard, Romeo Doubs and Robert Tonyan, at least he will be out for four games.
Carson Wentz, QB | Washington Commanders (finger): The quarterback underwent surgery for a fractured finger on his right hand and will be sidelined for four to six weeks.
James Conner, RB | Arizona Cardinals (ribs): Started week 8 with a DNP on the Cardinals’ estimated practice report, so it didn’t bode well. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury has called Conner “day by day.”
Michael Tomas, WR | New Orleans Saints (foot): It was a DNP for Week 7 and is expected to return to training these days to finally return to activity, although everything remains uncertain.
Logan Thomas, TE | Washington Commanders (calf): We haven’t seen Logan Thomas much in the last two weeks and his return is expected for Week 8 with the team.
