The NY Jets’ receiving corps will be totally different in the 2023 NFL season from how it was last year.
According to ESPN, the Cleveland Browns sent their second-round pick of the 2023 draft to the Jets in exchange for Moore and a third-round pick from the upcoming college draft pick.
This move will give the Jets more tools for a potential trade for Aaron Rodgers. The only thing missing for the quarterback to arrive in New York is for the Green Bay Packers to get adequate compensation.
Moore was upset with the New York franchise and requested a trade during the course of the 2022 season. One of the reasons that caused his annoyance was the decrease in throws in his direction by the arrival of Garrett Wilson.
Moore’s numbers declined in his second year in the NFL. As a rookie he generated 538 yards and five touchdowns after catching 43 shots and in the second season, he recorded 446 with a TD after 37 receptions.

Mecole Hardman arrives in New York
The Jets prepared for Moore’s trade by signing Mecole Hardman to a one-year deal. According to the NFL Network report, the financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
One of Hardman’s most relevant skills is the ability he has to generate yards after receiving. According to ESPN Stats, the Jets’ new WR has 8.3 yards after the catch since 2019.
