Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen’s divorce was resolved quickly and amicably in October 2022, or so we were led to believe. When we all thought that both parties had “left the court” to continue with their lives separately, it seems that the NFL idol sent a hint to his ex-wife. This happened after the supermodel made statements in which she showed that their relationship was destined to fail due to many relationship problems prior to the crisis related to Tom’s sports career for which they finally ended their marriage last year.
Tom Brady sends hint after Gisele Bündchen’s ‘betrayal’
And it is that in the Stories section of his Instagram account, Brady shared on Thursday morning a long quote attributed to the American writer, philosopher, and poet Ralph Waldo Emerson, in which – among other things – he describes what success is for him, a term commonly related to the former athlete, who in his time in professional football won several titles and was declared the most valuable player.
However, it was striking that in one part of the message, reference is made to the ability to overcome the betrayal of “false friends”, a phrase that immediately jumped into the eyes of the media and, as TMZ noted, would seem to be directed precisely to Gisele, who in an interview with Vanity Fair addressed in great detail her divorce from the former Tampa Bay player.
Is Tom Brady upset with his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen for giving details of their divorce to Vanity Fair? A discreet but accurate message posted on the social networks of the former NFL player suggests that, at least, he is bewildered and disappointed, if the statements of the woman with whom he was married for 13 years left him in a bad light.
“What is success? Laugh often and a lot. Earn the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children. Deserve the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends,” reads the quote that Brady posted on his Instagram account without any context or explanation as to why he chose to post the phrase just a day after Gisele’s revelations about her divorce were released.
“Appreciating beauty” and also “finding the best in others” are other ways in which the author cited by the 45-year-old former athlete defines success.
“Leaving the world a little better, whether it’s through healthy children, a gardener, or a social status achieved. Knowing that even a life has become more bearable because you have lived. This is having succeeded,” concludes the message, about which Brady did not add a single word.
According to the account that accompanies the interview that Gisele Bündchen gave to Vanity Fair, the 42-year-old Brazilian supermodel cried when she remembered that with her divorce her dream ended, the “fairy tale” for which she fought so hard and assured that there are many more aspects related to the end of her marriage with Tom Brady than all the versions that have circulated so far.
“What has been said is one piece of a much larger puzzle. It’s not so black and white,” said the businesswoman.
“You give one hundred percent of yourself and it’s heartbreaking when it doesn’t end the way you expected and worked, but you can only do your part,” Gisele said, hinting that – maybe – she put more effort into their relationship than her now ex-husband.
