The New York Jets roster is a constantly moving force.
It will continue to be fluid as we move through training camp and the preseason in August. One analyst believes that in the midst of all this movement, the Jets should dive deep into the deep end of the pool in search of a special free agent.

“Maybe bad timing because I know [Duane Brown] got arrested this week. Obviously, one of the best tackles in the league for a while. If you get comfortable with everything going on there. [legally] and you say you get to camp and you have a problem with the tackle, that’s the guy I would say.
We can’t mess this up. We have a second-year quarterback in a year where we need to move forward with the offense. Not only do you need Zach Wilson to be competent for the sake of Zach, the team, and the image around the team, but you need him for the development of Elijah Moore, the development of Garrett Wilson, and you need that to open up the offense for Breece Hall and Michael Carter. Heck, even keep the defense off the field.
I know it’s crazy to plug a guy like Brown into this team right now, but I think that’s the biggest wild card I can give you. If all these dominoes fell, there’s a path to where we somehow ended up there.”
One of the biggest arguments against that move on social media is Brown’s status as a “one-trick pony.” The talented former All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowler have played exclusively on the blind side for his entire career.
For example, the Jets hosted veteran offensive tackle Riley Reiff earlier this summer for a visit. The 33-year-old has never earned a Pro Bowl nomination or been voted All-Pro.
What he lacks in stardom or reputation, though, he makes up for with his versatility. The veteran offensive lineman has extensive experience with more than 147 combined openings as a left and right tackle.
Rogers rolled his eyes when he heard about this Twitter feud for the first time on the show and called that narrative “ridiculous.”
