After he tried to be governor of Quintana Roo, Roberto Palazuelos recently registered as a pre-candidate for senator on behalf of Movimiento Ciudadano.
“Today I am a pre-candidate for the Senate of the Republic and I will be very active with militants and supporters of my party to be able to become a candidate, long live Quintana Roo,” his post reads.
Roberto Palazuelos now wants to be a senator for Quintana Roo
Through his Instagram account, Roberto Palazuelos posted a photo with Dante Delgado, national leader of the Citizens’ Movement party.
He explained that on November 20 he was officially registered as a pre-candidate for the Senate of the Republic by his party, so he will be very active with the militants of his party to be able to be an official candidate.
But let’s give a recollection of his career in politics. In February 2022, last year, the Citizens’ Movement party made the decision to remove Roberto Palazuelos’ candidacy for Quintana Roo. He was involved in several controversies.
For example, he said in an interview that he had killed someone, although he later clarified that it was all in self-defense. “We killed two bastards. Everybody gave to everybody. We didn’t know who gave to whom.”
It was only at the beginning of November that Palazuelos officially joined the Citizens’ Movement in order to become a senator.
