Spanish Super Cup: Real Madrid vs Barcelona time, TV, training and More Info
When and where is the final played?
The final will take place this Sunday at 16:00 at the King Fahd Stadium and will be televised by DirecTV Sports. And of course, minute by minute on Olé. It is important to remember that in 2019 an agreement was reached for the competition to be played in Saudi Arabia and not in Spain, as has always been the case.
How do they arrive?
Barcelona entered the Supercopa de España as the runner-up in La Liga 21/22. They faced Betis in the semis. After a 2-2 draw (goals by Lewandowski and Ansu Fati), Xavi’s team ended up advancing on penalties by winning 4-2.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, also had to wait to define their pass to the final. The reigning La Liga champions drew 1-1 (Benzema) in 120 minutes with Valencia and, like their classic rival, passed after a penalty shootout that ended 4-3.
History
The Culés and the Merengues faced each other in 250 official matches throughout their history. The Catalans were victorious on 97 occasions, while the Madridistas did so on 102. The last match against both ended with a 3-1 victory for Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu (for the League).
This will be the eighth time that the two Spanish giants meet in a Super Cup final (which was previously a one-off match between the league champion and the Copa del Rey). The record in this section is much higher for the white box, given that it won six finals and was defeated in just one.

The two top champions of the competition
As expected, Barcelona and Real Madrid are the two top winners of the Spanish Super Cup and with a bulky difference over the rest. Barcelona lifted the trophy 13 times, while Merengue did so 12 times. The third team that won the title the most times is Athletic Club, with just three Olympic laps.
Xavi vs. Ancelotti
Should he prevail over his rival and take the cup, it will be Xavi Hernández’s first title as Barcelona’s technical director since his arrival in November 2021. Carlo Ancelotti, on the other hand, is Real Madrid’s third-most title-winning coach, with eight wins in his two stints at the club.

Barcelona: Ter Stegen; Sergi Roberto, Araújo, Koundé, J. Alba; Gavi, Busquets, Pedri; Dembélé, Lewandowski, A. Fati.
