As has been a tradition since 2010, all National Football League (NFL) players cast their vote to select the top 100 players each season, a list where one of the regulars present is quarterback Tom Brady.
NFL 2022: The 100 best 2022 NFL players
Despite being the maximum winner of Super Bowl rings in history, he only led this list on three occasions, all while he was with the New England Patriots, in 2011, 2017 and 2018; but given the fact that he will play the last season of his career, his colleagues made him a reference.
The NFL Top 100 was held for the 12th consecutive year. The draft became a phenomenon that captivates NFL audiences between preseason and regular season games.
The NFL’s methodology with its Top 100 is simple. The league surveys players and asks them to vote on who they believe is the best in the league. It then compiles those results and creates the ranking.
Of course, this list causes controversy. The roster has legitimacy, as the players are the ones who face their peers on a weekly basis.
Below is a summary of the voting, with Tom Brady taking the number one spot on the final list, followed by Aaron Donald, Aaron Rodgers, Cooper Kupp and Jonathan Taylor.
For the fourth time in his lengthy career, Tom Brady leads the Top 100 players heading into NFL 2022, currently the oldest active player to play next season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, after posting career-high numbers in pass completions (485) and air yards (5,316) in 2021.
