Wimbledon 2023: dates and data
The third Grand Slam of the season and the oldest tennis tournament on the planet, hosted by the All England Lawn Tennis Club, will be played again this year following Novak Djokovic’s victory in the previous edition.
Djokovic and Elena Rybakina will defend their share of the grass court on Centre Court as reigning championship champions. However, it will be difficult for them to revalidate the title because of the strong competition they will find throughout the tournament.
This Grand Slam, which some consider the most emblematic of tennis, begins on July 3 and comes to an end on Sunday, July 16. We will have to wait to see how the ATP classification progresses to know which Spanish players will be present in the main matches of this competition. However, all fans already have Alcaraz as the main protagonist.
If there are no changes, the matches will start daily at 12:00 in the morning (peninsular time), except in the Central Court which will start at 14:00 hours. The men’s final will be on Sunday, July 16 and the women’s final on Saturday, July 15.

In Spain, Movistar + has exclusive broadcasting rights to the Wimbledon Tournament. Therefore, watching Wimbledon with Movistar is the only alternative to watch all the matches live.
The channels on which you can watch Wimbledon this year are Movistar Wimbledon (dial 54) and Movistar Deportes (dial 53).
All semi-final matches and the final of the men’s and women’s draws of Wimbledon 2023, as well as the rest of the important matches of the tournament, will be broadcast by these channels. On the other hand, there will be a daily special on channel #Vamos where everything that happened on that day will be summarized.
To be able to watch Wimbledon 2023 live on Movistar you must hire a Movistar rate that includes the company’s Movistar Sports package or if you are already a Fusion customer, you can add this package to your rate for € 10 / month.
This option allows you to contract Movistar fiber optics, mobile, fixed and Movistar + lines in convergent packages with different prices, depending on each of the contracted services.
Movistar Wimbledon has launched a few years ago for the 24-hour broadcast of this tournament. Through this, you can see the best matches live and deferred. And Movistar Deportes will serve to complete the programming and broadcast other matches.
Watch Wimbledon on satellite
Movistar+ also gives you the option to watch Wimbledon by satellite. If you do not have Movistar fiber optic or ADSL coverage in your home or you already have satellite television, Movistar will not charge you anything for the installation of this service.
