Week 6 of the NFL kicked off on Thursday with the Kansas City Chiefs’ 19-8 win over the Denver Broncos and the rest of the games will be played this Sunday, except for the Dallas Cowboys vs. Los Angeles Chargers, which will be played on Monday.
Sunday’s action kicked off with the Baltimore Ravens’ 24-16 win over the Tennessee Titans in the last game to be played in London this season following the Falcons vs. Jaguars in Week 4 and the Jaguars vs. Bills in Week 5.
It is worth noting that, prior to the Ravens-Titans game, Commissioner Roger Goodell assured that the NFL has studied the possibility of holding a Super Bowl in London in the future.
NFL WEEK 6 RESULTS
Dallas Cowboys 20-17 Los Angeles Chargers
Dak Prescott put the team on his shoulders with a touchdown pass through the air and another on the ground to put the Week 5 loss to the 49ers behind him.
The Cowboys defense was instrumental in slowing down the Charger’s offense, which had Justin Herbert with 227 yards and two touchdowns, but an interception down the stretch.
Dallas is now 4-2 in the National Conference East Division and Los Angeles is 2-3 in the American Conference West Division.
Buffalo Bills 14-9 New York Giants
The Bills got back on the winning track in the Week 6 Sunday Night Football game with a tight, but valuable win in New York. Josh Allen shined for the visitors with 169 yards for two touchdowns despite an interception. Quintin Morris and Deonte Harty were the preferred targets for Allen to take the win and think ahead to the visit to Foxborough against the Patriots.
Philadelphia Eagles 14-20 New York Jets
The second upset of the day in Week 6 of the NFL, all after the Eagles lost their undefeated season to the Jets, who gave a more than effective last quarter to stop Philadelphia. Receiver A.J. Brown stood out despite the loss that left the NFL undefeated in the season, mainly thanks to a great defense by the Jets at Metlife Stadium, led by Haason Reddick.
Detroit Lions 20-6 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Lions are on a roll in the current NFL season and added their fourth consecutive victory, now by beating the Buccaneers, leaders of the National Football League South Division, on the road. With an inspired, high-level and turnover-free Goff, they were precise, including a 45-yard touchdown with Williams on the receiving end to seal a comfortable game for Detroit.
Arizona Cardinals 9-26 Los Angeles Rams
Cooper Kupp proved he is back from injury by hauling in seven receptions for 148 yards and his first touchdown of the season. The Rams come in with a 3-3 record, while the Cardinals are starting to run into a lot of trouble as they have a 1-5 record.
New England Patriots 17-21 Las Vegas Raiders
The good news for the Patriots is that they finally broke their touchdown drought. The bad was that they lost again, this time on their visit to Allegiant Stadium. In fact, the Pats managed two touchdowns via Ezekiel Elliott and Rhamondre Stevenson, but not enough with a Jones catch in the final minutes to leave New England with a 1-5 record, to the Raiders’ 3-3.
Carolina Panthers 21-42 Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins are still going strong after defeating the Panthers to reach a 5-1 record led by Tua Tagovailoa who threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns.
New Orleans Saints 13-20 Texas Rangers
C.J. Stroud (199 yards) outplayed Derek Carr (353 yards) for two touchdown passes – to Carr’s one – as the Texans beat the Saints in NFL Week 6.
Sam Howell shined with three touchdown throws to lead Washington past the Falcons, who fell to a 3-3 record, as did the Commanders.
Indianapolis Colts 20-37 Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars ran off three straight wins for a 4-2 record. Gardner Minshew looked inaccurate as he was intercepted three times as the Colts fell to a 3-3 record.
Seattle Seahawks 13-17 Cincinnati Bengals
Joe Burrow threw two touchdown passes and was intercepted once in the Bengals’ win that ended the Seahawks’ streak of three straight victories.
Minnesota Vikings 19-13 Chicago Bears
The Bears returned to their reality after losing to the Vikings in a game in which Justin Fields injured his hand and had to be replaced by rookie Tyson Bagent, who scored his first NFL touchdown.
San Francisco 49ers 17-19 Cleveland Browns
The 49ers lost their undefeated record after Jake Moody missed a field goal with six seconds on the clock against the Browns.
Baltimore Ravens 24-16 Tennessee Titans
The Ravens defeated Tennessee vs Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London for a 4-2 record, while the Titans, who were home for this game, fell to a 2-4 mark.
Lamar Jackson threw for 223 yards and a touchdown for Baltimore, in addition to suffering an interception. Ryan Tannehill recorded 76 yards, was caught twice and intercepted once for Tennessee, but left with an ankle injury and was replaced by Malik Willis, who was caught four times.
