Adam Azim is arguably the most exciting prospect in British boxing. He looks to extend his unbeaten record at the expense of Nicaragua’s Santos Reyes when the pair collide at the Wembley Arena in London on February 11.
Azim (7-0, 6 KOs) hails from Slough in Berkshire. Since turning professional in December 2020, the quick-fisted phenom has scored a series of early knockouts which have electrified fight fans in boxing hotbeds throughout the U.K.
Given his talent, it’s only natural for the 20-year-old boxer-puncher to have lofty ambitions.
“Hopefully I’m going to be fighting for the European title in June, July time,” Azim told Sky Sports. “It would be good to get that before my birthday. It would be a great thing to win the European title really young as well.
“Another step forward to world glory one day, that’s one of my dreams. One day soon. I really want to become a world champion before 22 so that’s my dream.”
For now, Azim is fully focused on Saturday night.
Reyes is also unbeaten at 12-0 (3 KOs) and this will be his first fight outside of Nicaragua. Whether or not he can give Azim a decent workout remains to be seen.
