The Urban Development Commission of the Congress of Nuevo León began the analysis of the request for a loan that the governor, Samuel García, seeks to give so that the new stadium of the Tigers is built. During the session, the local deputies requested that the state governor send them more information about the project that includes the specifications, benefits, investments and administration that is considered.
“It is a very ambitious project, a big project, but we have to consider what is the benefit for the society of Nuevo León to have a stadium like this,” said the president of the Urban Development Commission, Mauro Molano.
The Albiazul legislator explained that there is no defined time to respond to the request and they will wait to receive the documents so that later they summon those involved to a working table.
“The next session that we are going to carry out will depend on the promptness with which the Executive sends us all the information that we are requesting.
“Once the information arrives, we have to analyze it, give it time for analysis and in turn convene the session, remember that this is not a simple ball game, this implies an exhaustive analysis of the documentation that they are going to send us.”, explained Molano.
During the session attended the general director of the company Juego de Pelota, César Esparza, who is in charge of the project. Esparza assured that the investment will be private and will be composed of investment funds specialized in stadiums, music industry funds, box presales and minority investors.
“It is a private investment of 8.2 billion pesos, not only in the stadium, there are current mobility problems, there is insufficient parking,” said Esparza.
In addition, he assured that they will prepare the information that the legislators requested to request that they be given a date as soon as possible to start the work tables so that the project advances.
“We come to hear directly from the deputies the observations they have because they are integrated into the file, the letter that we present today clarifies them,” said the director of the company Juego de Pelota.
The construction of the new Tigers stadium includes a retractable field and will seek to host NFL football games. Also, it will have a space for research classrooms of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León.
