What a few days it has been for Leicester City. A last-gasp defeat at Crystal Palace. The Foxes plunged into the Premier League relegation places. Manager Brendan Rodgers was sacked.
Yet, just three days later and a new era begins for the club with a home game against the Premier League’s form team Aston Villa
.
Okay, so City’s first team coaches Mike Stowell and Adam Sadler are likely to be in charge at the King Power Stadium while the manager hunt goes on, but Tuesday’s 7.45 pm kick-off is no free hit for the temporary regime or the City players. There is no time to lick wounds.
Every point will be vital between now and the end of the season if Leicester is to keep their top-flight status, and that starts with Villa at home in front of an expectant crowd who will feel they are owed a performance.
How they would love to see a repeat of the reverse fixture at Villa Park on February 4 when City romped to a 4-2 victory and relegation seemed to be an issue for other teams, certainly not the Foxes. Sadly, they have only won once since then, so the pressure will be on.
When does Leicester vs Aston Villa kick-off?
The match begins at 7.45 pm at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday.
Is Leicester vs Aston Villa on TV?
Sadly not. The Sky Sports cameras are focusing on Chelsea’s home game with Liverpool. However, City vs Villa will be broadcast internationally – you can find out where it is being shown in your country here.
