The Carolina Panthers buy the first pick of the draft from the Chicago Bears.

The Carolina Panthers have reached an agreement with the Chicago Bears for the number one pick in the 2023 NFL draft, allowing them to pick the best quarterback from available prospects.

In exchange for the first pick of the 2023 draft, the Bears will receive this year’s ninth and 61st picks, plus wide receiver Denniston Moore, a 2024 first-round draft pick and a 2025 second-round pick.

Carolina Panthers head coach Frank Reich will look for a reliable quarterback in free agency or one of the top prospects in the draft to command the team next season.

Among the quarterback options the Panthers could choose are Bryce Young of Alabama; CJ Stroud of Ohio State; Anthony Richardson of Florida, or Will Levis of Kentucky.

It should be remembered that during the 2022 NFL season, the Panthers had as quarterbacks Baker Mayfield, who played seven games before leaving for the Los Angeles Rams; Sam Darnold, who only played six games; and Phillip Walker.

Jimmy Garoppolo would have several suitors before his imminent departure from the 49ers
Jimmy Garoppolo is not in the San Francisco 49ers’ plans for next season and would already have several teams interested in him to continue his NFL career.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans and Las Vegas Raiders, it could be teams that are interested in quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo for next season.

Jimmy had a very strange 2022 season. Heading into the season the 49ers made it clear that Trey Lance would be the starting pitcher, however, a Lance injury in Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks allowed Garoppolo to start 10 games with the Niners throwing for 2,437 yards and 16 touchdowns.

To bad luck Jimmy was injured and gave the opportunity to rookie Brock Purdy, who dazzled the Niners with outstanding performances, added to the return of Lance, Jimmy Garoppolo would not have cavida in the Bay next season.

Last February the head coach of the 49ers, Kyle Shanahan saw a very complicated panorama for the renewal of Garoppolo: “No, I do not see any scenario of that,” he explained.

“I know we have two starters in our team right now that I think we can win with. So when you have that situation, you’re not so eager to go looking,” the head coach added.

In this way, Garoppolo will reach free agency and can join the ranks of the Panthers, Texans or Raiders for next season, what will be the fate of the quarterback?
