Two of the best pound-for-pound fighters of the moment will meet for the first time at UFC 284. Australian and local Alexander Volkanovski has in mind to be the king of two divisions at the same time, moving up to lightweight to face champion Islam Makhachev in Perth.
Both fighters barely suffered a defeat as professionals: the current champion happened in 2015, while Volkanovski’s in 2013.
Before this fight in the octagon, a title will also be up for grabs. Mexico’s Yair Rodriguez and American Josh Emmett promise a featherweight heart attack fight to take the belt on an interim basis.
